UTSA to play in Schooner Fall Classic

SAN ANTONIO — Fresh off a third-place finish last week, the UTSA women's golf team will travel to Norman, Okla., to play in the Schooner Fall Classic on Sunday-Monday, Sept. 26-27, at Belmar Golf Club (par 70/6,109 yards).
 
The Roadrunners — No. 34 in the latest Golfweek collegiate team rankings — will line up against Baylor, Florida State, Illinois, Iowa State, Houston, Kansas State, North Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas A&M, TCU, Texas State and Tulsa. The field will play 36 holes on Sunday and the final round is slated for Monday. 

Monday's final two holes will be broadcast on Bally Sports Southwest on Wednesday at 3 p.m. That footage will be live streamed on Monday afternoon. https://soonersports.com/watch/?Live=584.
 
UTSA tied for third place with a strong final round at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship last week in Knoxville, Tenn. Hannah Holzmann tied for ninth place after posting a 1-over-par 214 (69-75-70), while Camryn Carreon was 12th with a 215 (73-72-70). The Roadrunners moved from seventh to third in the final round after turning in a 1-over 285.
 
Hunter Nugent paces UTSA with a 71.3 stroke average through six rounds this season, while Carreon (72.5) and Nicole Polivchak (72.5) are close behind.
