Nebraska edges UTSA men’s tennis on Saturday in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO – Nebraska edged UTSA men's tennis 4-3 on Saturday afternoon at the UTSA Tennis Center. 
 
UTSA (2-3) rallied from losing the doubles point to Nebraska (2-6) to claim singles wins on court two, three and four but the Huskers picked up key singles points on court one, five and six to secure the win. 
 
The Roadrunners fell in the doubles point but picked up a win on the second court behind freshmen Sebastian Rodriguez (Trujillo, Peru) and Joao Alcantara (Santos, Brazil), 6-2. 
 
UTSA earned singles points from Sebastian Rodriguez, 6-2, 7-5 on court two, senior Juri Reckow (Hamburg, Germany) on court three, 6-1, 6-2, and junior Javier Rodriguez (Trujillo, Peru) on court four, 7-5, 6-3. 
 
The Roadrunners will return to action on Sunday, traveling to face No. 5 Texas, the defending NCAA Champions, at 3:30 p.m. in Austin.
