UTSA Baseball Set To Host Texas-Pan American

SAN ANTONIO - The UTSA baseball team is coming a three-game sweep against Dallas Baptist this past weekend and returns home for a five-game homestand beginning Tuesday, March 7, against Texas-Pan American. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. at Roadrunner Field.

In the sweep against DBU, UTSA’s pitching staff allowed a total of six runs, including a complete game shutout by junior Josh Ruffin.

The Runners offense was in full stride, pounding the Patriots pitching staff for 23 runs and four home runs. Sophomore Zach Etheredge went yard twice and collected seven runs batted in, while juniors Michael McKennon and Ryan Saltzgaber each homered once.

Texas-Pan American played Southland Conference foe Sam Houston State over the weekend and took 2-of-3 games. UTPA won the first two games of the series, but lost the series finale 18-7.

UTSA continues its homestand this weekend as they host the Baseball Express Collegiate Classic on March 10-13.
