SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA men's tennis team will host the second annual UTSA Cup this weekend at the UTSA Tennis Center. Action in the three-day tournament is scheduled to get underway at 9 a.m. each day beginning Friday and admission is free.
The Roadrunners will welcome Baylor, St. Mary's, Texas, Texas A&M-Corpus-Christi, Texas Tech, Tyler Junior College and UT Arlington to the Alamo City for the hidden dual-match event.
Eight teams consisting of four singles players and two doubles players will be placed in two groups (Group 1, Group 2) and compete in a round robin format for the first two days. On the final day, Group 1 teams will compete against Group 2 teams based on their finish in round robin play.
UTSA is resuming its fall schedule after a 20-day layoff. The Roadrunners competed in the St. Mary's Quad Sept. 22-23. Leon Hein and John King led the Birds with a trio of wins apiece.UTSA Cup Schedule
