UTSA Athletics sponsor DOCUmation to honor six with academic excellence award grants

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA Athletics sponsor DOCUmation, Texas' premier business technology integration firm, will once again use its in-game UTSA football sponsorship time to publicly recognize the special achievements that the university's faculty members have made both inside and outside the classroom.

The on-field announcements will occur during a break in action at each home game this season. Along with a monetary contribution to the recipients' College or Department, DOCUmation produces a video that plays on the Alamodome's video boards highlighting the individual's achievements.

"By using their sponsorship time to reach out beyond the athletics department and bring awareness to the accomplishments of UTSA's outstanding faculty members, DOCUmation has once again proven why they're a leader in the San Antonio business community," UTSA Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics Lynn Hickey said. "They understand that when there's synergy between academia and business, our entire community benefits."

This is the third consecutive year DOCUmation has honored a member of UTSA's faculty at each home football game and according to DOCUmation's President Scott Woolfolk, further evidence of a commitment they've made to their hometown university.

"Whether it's sponsoring athletic teams, bringing more awareness to the amazing accomplishments of faculty members or being involved with the Honors College and UTSA's Great Conversation each year, DOCUmation's mission has always been to support the goals and objectives set forth by UTSA's leadership team," Woolfolk said. "San Antonio is a great city and UTSA's faculty and graduates are the heart and soul of its future."
