KMYS-CW 35 to televise three UTSA home football games

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA and Learfield's Roadrunners Sports Properties announced on Thursday that three home football games for the upcoming 2016 season will be televised on KMYS-CW 35 in San Antonio.

The KMYS-CW 35 slate includes the season opener and debut for first-year head coach Frank Wilson against Alabama State on Saturday, Sept. 3, and home Conference USA contests against UTEP on Oct. 22 and North Texas on Oct. 29. All three games will kick off at 6 p.m. at the Alamodome and at least seven of the Roadrunners' regular season contests now will be televised this fall.

"Adding UTSA football games to our station programming lineup is very exciting for our viewers," KMYS-CW 35 general manager Dean Radla said. "UTSA games are always well watched."

There will be 30-minute pregame and postgame shows for each broadcast, and the telecasts will be produced by Quarter Moon Productions, marking the fifth straight season for that partnership.

"Keeping UTSA football on television has been an integral part of our production schedule," Quarter Moon Productions CEO Bob Wills said. "It helps the university grow and attract both collegiate athletes and supporters of UTSA Athletics."

KMYS-CW 35 is available in the San Antonio market on AT&T U-Verse (35/1035 HD), DirecTV (35), DISH Network (35), Grande Communications (7/807 HD), Time Warner Cable (7/1212 HD) and over the air (35.1).

Additionally, UTSA announced that the regular season finale against Charlotte, scheduled for Nov. 26 at the Alamodome, also will kick off at 6 p.m.

More television selections are expected to be announced at a later date.

Learfield is UTSA's exclusive athletics multimedia rights holder.
