A veteran of UTSA Athletics Department’s Academic Services staff since October 2013, Beth Noteware is in her first year as an academic advisor after serving as an academic advisor/learning specialist for three years.
 
Noteware supports and tracks academic progress student-athletes for the sports of baseball, men’s basketball, men’s golf and women’s golf. Among her many responsibilities, she monitors and calculates NCAA eligibility requirements and degree progress, facilitates meetings with student-athletes to help ensure positive academic progress and serves as a liaison between academics and campus partners and the Athletics Department.
 
Noteware came to UTSA from Virginia Tech, where she was Assistant Director of Learning Services/Learning Specialist from 2009-13.
 
Prior to her time in Blacksburg, Va., Noteware was an academic services intern at Duke during the 2008-09 academic year and an academic mentor at Wichita State in 2008.
 
A native of Perry, Okla., Noteware is a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletes (N4A), the Learning Concerns Committee and the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators.
 
Noteware earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Oklahoma State in 1997 and her master’s degree in sport management from Wichita State in 2008.
