Senior (2015)
Became UTSA's first-ever All-American when he was named to USA Today's second unit … also a second-team All-Conference USA selection … named to the midseason John Mackey Award (nation's top tight end) watch list … recorded 45 receptions for 566 yards (12.6 avg.) and a program single-season record five touchdowns while grading out as one of the top blocking tight ends in the country … currently ranks eighth among the nation's tight ends in receptions and 10th in receiving yards (through games of Dec. 5) … set a then-school mark with nine catches in the season opener at then-No. 22 Arizona (Sept. 3) and matched that total five games later against Louisiana Tech (Oct. 10) … his 109 yards against the Wildcats was UTSA’s first 100-yard receiving performance in three seasons and his two touchdown grabs against the Bulldogs matched the program’s single-game record … earned honorable mention John Mackey Tight End of the Week accolades following both of those outings.
Junior (2014)
Saw action in nine games and started six of those tilts … earned honorable mention All-Conference USA laurels … caught 20 passes for 255 yards (12.8 avg.), including a 10-yard touchdown in the home opener against Arizona (Sept. 4) … had career highs of five receptions for 76 yards against the Wildcats … added four grabs for 54 yards at Oklahoma State (Oct. 13) and four more for 53 yards in the following contest at Florida Atlantic (Oct. 27).
Sophomore (2013)
Appeared in 11 contests and drew starting assignments against Rice (Oct. 12) and Louisiana Tech (Nov. 30) … missed the season opener at New Mexico (Aug. 31) due to injury … registered seven receptions for 69 yards (9.9 avg.) … had a season-high three catches at North Texas (Nov. 23) … redshirted the 2012 campaign due to injury.
Freshman (2011)
Played in all 10 games with a pair of starts at #16 Sam Houston State (Oct. 1) and UC Davis (Oct. 15) … caught 13 passes for 214 yards (16.5 avg.) and two touchdowns … had at least one reception in the opening nine contests … posted a season-long catch-and-run of 63 yards in the season opener against Northeastern State (Sept. 3) … hauled in three throws for 35 yards and a 10-yard score at Southern Utah (Sept. 17) … also reached paydirt from seven yards out at McNeese State (Nov. 12).
Prior To UTSA
A 2010 second-team Class 4A all-state, Austin American-Statesman first-team All-Centex and first-team All-District 25-4A honoree at wide receiver … caught 68 passes for 1,251 yards (18.4 avg.) and 14 touchdowns … also earned honorable mention academic all-state accolades as a senior … recorded 27 receptions for 478 yards (17.7 avg.) and eight TDs en route to first-team all-district honors as a junior … a three-time academic all-district honoree … coached by Cord Woerner.
