Robbie Maldonado Season 2023

PRIOR TO UTSA
Prairie View A&M (2020-22): In his sophomore season, he struck out 26 batters in 23 innings pitched… during his junior season with the Panthers, he earned a 7-4 record, striking out 100 batters in 100.1 innings pitched… invited to and participated in the HBCU All-Star Game in 2022… named to the Black College Nines’ Elite Second Team in 2022.
 
Laredo Junior College (2019-20): Played his first collegiate season with the Palominos as an outfielder and pitcher… on the mound, he notched a 3-1 record in six appearances… he struck out 18 in 14 innings pitched… he also batted .298 in 17 games, recording 12 runs, 14 hits and 14 RBI.  
 
High School: Attended McAllen High School in McAllen, Texas… played three years of varsity baseball under head coach Eliseo Pompa.
 
Personal: Son of Rosa and Ramiro Maldonado… has two siblings, Rami and Ricky… pursuing a Master’s in Business.
