Split time behind the plate in his first season able to compete for UTSA … appeared in 31 games, including 22 starts at catcher … batted .304 (24 for 79) with eight doubles and 12 RBIs … scored 21 runs, walked 12 times and was hit by six pitches … reached base at a .433 clip … had seven multiple-hit outings … ended the season on a five-game hitting streak … hit .416 (5 for 12) with a pair of doubles and two RBIs in the Conference USA Championship … his first hit as a Roadrunner was an RBI single against San Francisco (Feb. 17) … threw out eight of 22 attempted base stealers from behind the dish … also picked off one runner.

Prior to UTSA
Two-year starter and letter winner at Paris Junior College … two-time all-conference selection … switched between catcher and first base at Paris and batted a .352 clip … registered 51 hits, 11 doubles, four home runs, 27 RBIs and 35 runs scored in 2016 … posted a .456 on base percentage and .510 slugging percentage … earned MVP honors at Paris and also named defensive MVP twice for the Dragons.
