UTSA Athletics Set To Celebrate Black History Month

SAN ANTONIO – Rooted in Black History and Elevated by Black Voices, UTSA Athletics will celebrate Black History Month throughout February with a social media video series and recognition at men’s and women’s basketball home games. This celebration will honor the achievements and contributions of Black athletes, coaches and staff, highlighting their roles in shaping UTSA and the United States. 
 
The powerful video series, which will be available on UTSA Athletics’ primary social media channels, will feature athletes and coaches sharing their personal stories, reflecting on the significance of Black History Month and the impact of Black History on their lives and athletic careers.
 
Both UTSA men’s and women’s basketball will host Black History Month games during the month of February. Fans in attendance will receive free UTSA Black History Month t-shirts featuring the theme ‘Rooted in Black History. Elevated by Black Voices.’ The designated games are: 
•    Saturday, February 8 – Men’s Basketball vs. East Carolina – 7 p.m. (ESPNU)
•    Wednesday, February 12 – Women’s Basketball vs. East Carolina – 6:30 p.m. (ESPN+)
