IRVING, Texas — The American Athletic Conference has announced the scheduling model for conference games that will be in place for the 2025 football season.
UTSA will host Army, East Carolina, Rice and Tulane next season at the Alamodome. The Roadrunners are slated for road games at Charlotte, North Texas, South Florida and Temple in 2025.
UTSA also has four non-conference games on the docket for the 2025 campaign. The Roadrunners will open the season at Texas A&M on Aug. 30 in College Station before hosting home Texas State on Sept. 6 and UIW on Sept. 13 at the Alamodome. UTSA will close out the non-league slate at Colorado State on Sept. 20 in Fort Collins.
The 2025 scheduling model was approved by The American's athletic directors earlier this week.
The 2025 season will be The American's second in its current 14-team configuration. The schedule format calls for each team to play eight conference games, with four home games and four road contests for each team.
The scheduling format fulfills a number of objectives set by the conference. There are no matchups played at the same site from 2024 to 2025. Each team will play at least one road game in the Eastern and Central time zones, and each team will have played at least one road game in Texas in a two-year span.
The American will continue with a single-division format in 2025. The top two teams in the final regular-season standings will qualify for the American Athletic Conference Championship Game.
The full 2025 conference schedule will be announced in February.
The Roadrunners will kick off the 2024 season on Saturday, Aug. 31, when they host Kennesaw State at 2:30 p.m. at the Alamodome. UTSA has been picked to finish second in the American Athletic Conference Preseason Media Poll.

Season tickets start as low as $90 per seat. Payment plans for all season ticket packages are available.
Current UTSA students receive free admission to all home games by downloading tickets via their Account Manager.
