SAN ANTONIO – Simon Miller of the UTSA baseball team was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-American Second Team, announced the organization on Wednesday.
Miller was named to the 2022-23 Academic All-District Team by College Sports Communicators on May 16, along with teammates Luke Malone and Isaiah Walker. He is just the second Roadrunner to earn Academic All-American honors, after Mike Srp earned second team in 2003. The Canton, Texas, native is majoring in cyber intelligence.
The junior relief pitcher has been unstoppable for UTSA this season with the 13th-best ERA, 13th-most saves and 44th-most wins in the nation. He was named the Conference USA Pitcher of the Year, as well as raking in first team honors at the conclusion of the regular season.
During his time at UTSA, Miller has earned a place on the UTSA President's List twice and the Honor Roll once. He is the recipient of the C-USA Honor Roll for three years. Miller was named to the 2023 C-USA All-Academic Team.
