UTSA wraps up six-game road trip with two weekday games

SAN ANTONIO – UTSA's baseball team will complete its two-week, six-game road trip this week as the Roadrunners will finish the stint with road games at UIW on Tuesday and TCU on Wednesday.

UTSA (13-10, 2-4 C-USA) and UIW will be meeting for the second time this season after meeting three weeks ago at Roadrunner Field where UTSA won, 6-1. The Cardinals enter the weekday game with an 11-10 (1-2 SLC) record. Since the last time the two teams met, UIW is 7-5 and boasts a win over then-number 20 Texas State.

The two schools will be meeting for the 28th time when they play on Tuesday. UTSA holds the all-time advantage against the fellow San Antonio school, posting a 16-11 record. The Roadrunners are 6-5 in road games against the Cardinals.

Following Tuesday's game at Incarnate Word, UTSA will be back on the road the very next day as the Roadrunners head north to Fort Worth for a tough test against the twelfth-ranked TCU Horned Frogs.

No. 12 TCU (18-5, 5-1 Big 12) has won 10 of its last 11 games and will also be playing the night prior to Wednesday as they host Abilene Christian. The Horned Frogs boast wins over San Diego State, Houston, Nebraska (3x), Kentucky and Baylor (2x). The Bears are the only common opponent between UTSA and TCU. UTSA dropped last Tuesday's game to Baylor, 3-2 while TCU won a weekend series against the Bears 2-1.

UTSA and TCU will meet for the 14th time on Wednesday. The series advantage is held by TCU, as they're 10-3 all-time against the Roadrunners. The Horned Frogs have won seven straight against UTSA and haven't dropped a game to the Roadrunners since 2003.
