Boswell, Ramon pace UTSA at NCAA South Central Regional

WACO, Texas — UTSA senior Maddie Boswell finished 38th in the women's race and freshman Idol Ramon placed 126th for the men in the NCAA South Central Regional on Friday morning at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course.
 
Boswell covered the 6,000-meter loop in a time of 21:52.9 in representing the Roadrunners women in the regional meet. The Fort Worth native logged a 5:52.0 mile pace during her fourth race of the season to place just ahead of Texas' Monica Hebner (21:56.3)
 

Ramon led a quartet of Roadrunners in the men's 10k with his 126th-place finish. The Harlingen native clocked a time of 34:49.0 in his first race at that distance of the season to pace UTSA.

 
Luke Lawhorn was the second Roadrunner to cross the finish line, timing a 36:20.3 for 147th. He was followed closely by JD Corona, who finished 149th in 36:37.3. Hunter Haynes rounded out the lineup in 155th with a time of 37:08.9.
 
The meet concludes the season for the Roadrunners.
