IRVING — UTSA sophomore Madison Kidd has been named Conference USA Women's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.
Kidd finished in a tie for seventh place with a 219 to help lead the Roadrunners to a runner-up showing at the Texas State Invitational on Feb. 12-13 in Kyle. The sophomore posted a 73 in each of her three rounds en route to her top career finish in the field of 90 players. Kidd, who hails from Lake Jackson, Texas, recorded an eagle on the par-5 16th in her final round to help close out her second top 10 of the season.
The weekly award is the first of Kidd's UTSA career.
The Roadrunners will return to the course on Feb. 26-27 when they travel to The Woodlands, for The Dickson.
