UTSA Athletics unveils new Ticket Sales and Service team

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA Athletics unveiled this week a brand-new Ticket Sales and Service team that will bring all ticket sales operations in-house.
 
"We are thrilled for this opportunity to bring our ticket sales operation in house," Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development & Ticket Sales Brandon Raphael said. "I would like to especially thank the UTSA Athletics and university administrations for the support they all gave to help make this project a reality. With a stronger focus on revenue growth, we have built a sales staff that will best serve and engage with our season ticket holders, donors, fans and the San Antonio community."
 
The new Ticket Sales and Service team currently consists of four full-time staff members with future plans to expand.
 
Cameron Kovach is UTSA's Director of Ticket Sales and Service and he will train, manage and mentor the ticket sales staff. He comes to the Alamo City from Delaware, where he was Manager of Ticket Sales and Service at Delaware. Prior to that, the Helotes native was Senior Service and Retention Consultant with the University of Texas Athletics Department. He earned his bachelor's degree from Niagara and his master's degree from Mississippi State.
 
C.J. Gilvens is UTSA's Corporate Sales Representative and he will focus on business-to-business ticket sales with a concentration on premium seating and suites. He previously was a ticket sales intern at both Michigan State and Xavier. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native received his bachelor's degree in sport management from Bowling Green.
 
Charlie Powers is UTSA's Group Sales Representative and he will be responsible for group sales opportunities with numerous organizations. The Harlingen native comes to the Roadrunners after serving as a development intern with The Longhorn Foundation. He earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from Texas.
 
Ronnie Cantu is UTSA's Inside Sales Representative and he will work with sales of season tickets, mini-plans and groups. He previously was a ticket sales associate for UTSA Athletics with IMG Learfield. The San Antonio native earned his bachelor's degree in sport, event and tourism management from UTSA.
