SAN ANTONIO – Texas State scored early to take a 1-0 victory over the Roadrunners Friday evening at Park West Athletics Complex.
UTSA falls to 1-1 and Texas State improves to 3-0 on the season.

In the 12th minute, the Bobcats flicked the ball into the goal off a free kick to score the only one of the game.
The Roadrunners shot 12 times with three on goal, while the Bobcats posted eight shots with three on goal. Freshman goalkeeper Jil Schneider made two saves in the game.
Jordyn Lacy posted four shots during the match, with two on goal.
Lexi Bolton had a shot on goal early in the game that was saved by the keeper. The sophomore increased her career shots to 56.
Kendall Kloza, Camrynne Hoover, Isa Hernandez and Hannah Alfaro also had shots against the Bobcats.
UTSA returns to the field on Sunday at Grand Canyon. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. CT.
