Men's tennis takes on Rice Invitational

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA men's tennis team will venture to Houston to participate in the Rice Invitational, slated for Friday-Sunday at the George R. Brown Tennis Center. 
 
The Roadrunners will send a quartet of student-athletes to participate in the Rice Inviational, including freshman Joao Alcantra (Santos, Brazil), senior Patrick Poestinger (Ennsdorf, Austria), sophomore Alan Sanson (Santiago, Chile) and freshman Kaito Nishihara (Austin, Texas). 
 
Last week, the four Roadrunners participated in the Ron Wesbrook Invitational, hosted by Lamar in Beaumont, Texas. Alcantra and Sanson teamed to win the consolation bracket in doubles, with Alcantra going 1-2 in singles and Poestinger sporting a 2-1 mark in singles. 
 
Following the weekend in Houston, UTSA will return to action with the ITA Regionals in Waco, Texas on Oct. 25-28.
