| Oct. 11, 2005 Contact: Carlos Valdez III. (210) 458-4930 UTSA Baseball Set for Alumni Game On Oct. 15 SAN ANTONIO- The University of Texas at San Antonio baseball team will host its annual alumni game on Oct. 15 at Roadrunner Field, with first pitch set at 2 p.m.
Returning to their alma mater are former UTSA greats Jeff Juarez, Ryan Smith, Jesse Bradley, Matt McIntyre, Shane Menn , Marc Perez, Danny Phillips and Mike Srp.
Juarez played from 1996-1999 and he still holds several UTSA hitting records with 47 career round trippers, 249 career hits and 54 doubles. Perez, who played from 1995-1997, ranks fourth with 26 career home runs and second with 12 career triples. Smith was four-year letter winner at UTSA from 1997-2000. He ended his playing career ranked fourth in home runs (27), eighth in RBI (106) and tied for fifth with 37 career stolen bases.
Former pitcher Klae Boehme played four years at UTSA where he ranks fifth with 15 career wins and sixth with 160 strikeouts. Srp was a three-year letter winner at UTSA (2001-03). During his short stint as a Roadrunner, he collected 19 wins and pitched four complete games.
The Roadrunners begin the 2006 season against the Houston Cougars on Feb. 7 in Houston at 2 p.m.
