NEW ORLEANS, La. — The UTSA women's cross country program was one of 205 teams that earned All-Academic accolades from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Monday.
The Roadrunners posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.50 last fall and were one of five Southland Conference programs recognized (Lamar, McNeese State, Stephen F. Austin and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi were the others).
Georgetown was tabbed the Scholar Team of the Year, while Alabama reported the nation’s highest GPA (3.83).
To qualify, teams must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship meet.
