UTSA to play at Georgia State during Sears BracketBusters weekend

BRISTOL, Conn. — UTSA will face Georgia State on Saturday, Feb. 18, in Atlanta, Ga., as part of Sears BracketBusters, ESPN announced on Monday.

The Roadrunners (14-7) and Panthers (14-8) will square off for the 14th time at 6 p.m. (CT) at GSU Sports Arena. UTSA leads the all-time series, 8-5, and won the last meeting, 60-48, on Dec. 27, 2008, in San Antonio. Georgia State, a member of the Colonial Athletic Association, holds a 4-2 edge in games played in Atlanta and posted a 76-71 overtime victory on Dec. 15, 2007.

The 10th annual Sears BracketBusters features 142 teams, the largest pool in its history, from 16 different mid-major conferences. Thirteen games will be televised on the ESPN family of networks. For more information, click here.

As part of the Sears BracketBusters agreement, UTSA will host Georgia State in a non-conference game during one of the next two seasons.
