NEW YORK — UTSA learned its consolation round assignment for the Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off early Thursday morning and the Roadrunners will face Colorado State and Fresno State on Monday-Tuesday, Nov. 21-22, in Fort Collins, Colo.
No. 8 seed UTSA (2-1) will face seventh-seeded Colorado State (2-1) at 8:30 p.m. (CT) on Monday at Moby Arena on the CSU campus and then match up against Fresno State (2-1) at 6 p.m. the following night. The Roadrunners dropped a 90-85 overtime heartbreaker at No. 2 Oklahoma State in the Midwest Regional Championship on Wednesday night in Stillwater, Okla., after nipping sixth-seeded Oral Roberts, 78-77, in the opening round on Tuesday.
Other consolation round hosts are No. 5 George Mason and Oral Roberts.
