FRISCO — Sophomore Riley Good was named the Southland Conference Hitter of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Good led UTSA to a 4-1 record last week while batting .591 (13-for-22) with 12 runs scored, two doubles, a triple, one RBI and three stolen bases. He also slugged .773 and reached base at a .654 clip. The 2011 Freshman All-American collected three hits and scored a trio of runs in three of the five contests.
In last weekend's four-game series against New Mexico, he hit .647 (11-for-17) with 10 runs scored, two doubles, one RBI and a pair of stolen bases. He also posted a .765 slugging and .684 on-base percentage.
Good leads the Southland with 18 hits and 13 runs scored. He also ranks in the top 10 in total bases (23/2nd), batting average (.500/3rd), stolen bases (4/t-3rd), on-base percentage (.550/5th), doubles (3/t-5th) and slugging percentage (.639/8th).
UTSA (5-3) returns to the diamond at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Dallas Baptist (3-4).
