Six additional UTSA football games selected for television

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA and Learfield's Roadrunners Sports Properties announced on Friday that six football games on the 2017 schedule will be televised locally as part of the brand-new Citywide Sports Network (CSN).

Home games against Southern (Sept. 16) and UAB (Nov. 11) will air on KCWX-TV, while home contests versus Southern Miss (Oct. 7), Rice (Oct. 21) and Marshall (Nov. 18) will be broadcast on KMYS-CW 35. All five games will kick off at 6 p.m.

The road date with UTEP (Oct. 28) also will be shown on KMYS-CW 35 with a 7 p.m. (CT) kickoff.

In addition, all six telecasts will replay on KCWX at 10 a.m. the following day.

Don Harris (play-by-play) and Chuck Miketinac (analyst) will call the action for all six broadcasts.

CSN is a new sports television broadcasting division dedicated to airing local college football and basketball games in the San Antonio market. All six telecasts will be produced by CSN's parent company, Quarter Moon Productions, marking the sixth straight season for that partnership.

"UTSA football has been a big win for us over the last several years," Quarter Moon Productions CEO Bob Wills said. "The audience demo ratings eclipse over 50 percent of all primetime television shows."

KCWX is available in the San Antonio market on AT&T U-verse (2/1002), DirecTV (2), DISH Network (2), Grande Communications (2/802) and Spectrum (4/1215).
CW 35 is available in the San Antonio market on AT&T U-Verse (35/1035), DirecTV (35), DISH Network (35), Grande Communications (7/807), Spectrum (7/1212) and over the air (35.1).

UTSA now has seen 10 of its 12 regular season contests picked up for television.

STADIUM will televise the home opener against Houston at 6 p.m. on Sept. 2 and the Nov. 4 road game against FIU at 6 p.m. (CT). Both of those games can be seen in San Antonio on CW 35. Check local listings for availability in other markets.

FOX Sports Networks has selected the Sept. 9 road game against Baylor (7 p.m.), while ESPN (network to be determined) will air the regular season finale at Louisiana Tech on Nov.  26.

Additional television selections are expected to be announced at a later date.

Learfield is UTSA's exclusive athletics multimedia rights holder.
