UTSA to host Charlotte on Wednesday night
SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will look to gain its first Conference USA victory on Wednesday night when it hosts Charlotte (8-7, 2-0 C-USA) in a 7 p.m. contest at the Convocation Center.
The Roadrunners (9-6, 0-2 C-USA) are looking to end a two-game losing skid to start conference play following a home loss to Tulsa last Wednesday and a road defeat at Southern Miss on Saturday. The two defeats came after UTSA finished the non-conference portion of its schedule with a seven-game winning streak.
Saturday's setback against the Golden Eagles was the first game UTSA played outside the state of Texas this season. It is the longest the Roadrunners have gone without leaving the Lone Star State to begin a season since the 1990-91 season when they traveled north to play Oklahoma on Jan. 21.
Kamra King continues to lead the Roadrunners in scoring at 16.1 points per game and she already has attempted 112 free throws this season. The Norman, Okla. native attempted a total of 110 free throws over the entire 2012-13 campaign.
