LEXINGTON, Ky. — McKenzie Adams was named first-team All-Southwest Region, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced on Wednesday. It marks the second consecutive year that Adams has earned the honor.

The Conference USA Player of the Year and Tournament Most Valuable Player leads the nation with 5.78 kills per set and is second nationally with 6.23 points per set. Adams led the Roadrunners (24-8, 13-1 C-USA) to the C-USA Regular Season and Tournament Championships and the program's third NCAA Tournament appearance this past season.

Adams tallied the most votes in the outside hitter category, more than 2012 first-team AVCA All-Americans Haley Eckerman and Bailey Webster from Texas.
